James was born July 4, 1959 in DeKalb, Illinois. As the oldest of seven, he was the typical older brother. While still in grade school his mother encouraged him to draw. Starting from this simple beginning James' art can now be seen around the world. For many years his art focused on traditional fine art works and nontraditional fantasy art. During the last five years his work has been focused on car and bike art. James and his wife, Brenda, own B&B Publishing, Inc which was incorporated in 1998. It is through this business that James sells his art.

James provides custom art for motorcycles and cars. He has even ventured into art for custom built speakers. His art has won awards at bike and car shows. Art on the custom built speakers will be featured on the cover of next year’s Dayton Audio Catalog.

James also sells both traditional and nontraditional art including originals completed with blended pencil, oil or charcoal.
